The goal of the NEW ZEALAND JAZZ FOUNDATION JAZZ ACADEMY is to provide quality jazz instruction to all interested New Zealand intermediate and high school students. An extension of the annual New Zealand National Jazz Workshops, the JAZZ ACADEMY is an initiative that provides 15 weeks of exceptional jazz instruction to school-age musicians throughout New Zealand.
NATIONAL PROGRAMME
In 2024 the JAZZ ACADEMY is a all national, online instruction programme, open to all school-age students throughout New Zealand. This programme consists of 15 weeks (90 minute sessions) of "live online" instruction in Jazz Theory, Improvisation, Jazz History, Listening Skills, and Jazz Composition,
The online instruction is held Monday nights from 5:30 - 7:00.
The fee for the 2024 Academy is $300.00 per student.

**Refunds for cancellations will be given until the second class, after which no refunds will be possible due to commitments for staffing/faculty at the Academy.**
